Charles V. Ford Joins Security Mutual as Senior Vice President, Asset Liability Management & Treasury

Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York is pleased to announce that Charles V. Ford, FSA, MAAA, CFA®, has joined the Company as Senior Vice President, Asset Liability Management & Treasury, and will be responsible for providing executive leadership for the Company’s integrated asset liability management framework.

Mr. Ford has expertise in asset liability management (ALM), investment strategy and risk management, along with extensive actuarial modeling experience. Prior to joining Security Mutual, he consulted on asset liability management and investment strategy for a start-up reinsurer. He began his career at New England Mutual Life and has since served various companies, including Phoenix Home Life, Sun Life of Canada, Transamerica, and Fidelity & Guarantee Life, leading teams on actuarial modeling, investment strategy, governance and reinsurance.

Mr. Ford holds a bachelor of arts in applied mathematics/economics and is a Chartered Financial Analyst®, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
