Binghamton Mayor Jared M. Kraham, alongside local leaders, proclaimed the week of June 3, 2024, “Security Mutual Week,” in the City of Binghamton. The proclamation recognizes the many ways Security Mutual Life has given back to its local community and beyond.

“Every year we come together for Security Mutual Week, celebrating the contributions of a foundational institution business here in Binghamton that’s been around since 1886, employs hundreds of people, helps drive what makes downtown Binghamton great, and what makes this community great. Security Mutual is not just an employer in our region, they are a driving force behind a lot of the good that we see in the community,” stated Binghamton Mayor, Jared M. Kraham.

In honor of Security Mutual Week, downtown Binghamton will be decorated with Security Mutual Life flags and hanging flower baskets, co-sponsored by Security Mutual Life, in an effort to help beautify the City.

“Security Mutual Week gives us a window of opportunity to highlight our involvement in the community and to make note that a single week is carved out to represent a full year of initiatives and activity. We are proud to serve this community and are looking to spread that service across the country, while always giving recognition to our hometown of Binghamton, New York,” said Kirk R. Gravely, President and Chief Executive Officer of Security Mutual Life.
